The challenges

One of the major challenges in the coming years will be food. It is an important factor in the prevention of many diseases and prolonging life expectancy. In this context, all stakeholders, ranging from those involved in agricultural production to the marketing of food, through the agri-food industries, have a role vis-à-vis society, particularly as regards product quality and respect for the environment.
ESA must meet these challenges, through the work of its research teams and the quality of its teaching in this area.
