Life at ESA isn’t limited to studying...
With the help of the ’ESAternational’ Committee (in charge of welcoming international students), you can profit from the French way of life, and the numerous opportunities offered both on our campus and by the city of Angers.

Soon after a party is organized for you whereat, you will meet young people from other lands, and your godfather or godmother. For more info, click on A local godfather Several activities are organised in the following weeks : - an intercultural dinnerfor which you will be expected to make and bring some typical dish from your country, - a group outing to the festival 'Accroche-Cœurs', which is an in-the-streets festival held every year in September, - a weekend beside the sea, and plenty of other things…
Throughout the year, you can take part in a multitude of other activities.
- Sports : Rugby, football, volley-ball, hand-ball, tennis, sailing, etc ... organised by the students’ 'Association Sportive du Groupe ESA'. If you wish, you can take part in local, regional and national competitions, such as : 'Coupe des Grandes Écoles d’Angers', 'Championnat de Fédération des Sports Universitaires', 'Coupe de France de Voile étudiants' (for sailing enthusiasts). - Culture : Photographic, œnology, beekeeping, rural development societies, even rock’n roll lessons, are on offer, proposed by the 'Bureau des Etudiants du Groupe ESA' (the students’ union).
Make new friends and practice your conversational French by your weekly visit to : - 'mardis cafés', where foreign and French students of all the institutions of higher education of the city meet -in a different bar each time, thus discovering new places and new ‘ambiances’. - 'veni vidi vixi', conversation groups limited to ESA students and those of our neighbours (UCO - 'Université Catholique de l’Ouest', and ESEO – 'Ecole Superieure d’ Electronique de l’Ouest').
And of course, you must profit from the cultural life of Angers, its festivals, concert halls, cinemas, gymnasiums, tennis courts, parks for jogging and tutti quanti... For more info, click on What about Angers
