COMUE UBL – Communauté d’Universités et Etablissements Université Bretagne Loire

ESA is a member of Comue UBL (Université Bretagne-Loire community of universities and establishments). In place since 1 January 2016, this community aims to bring together all of the players in higher education, research and development in the regions of Brittany and the Pays de la Loire to improve cooperation and pooling of resources. This is to ESA’s advantage as it offers greater visibility both at regional and international levels.

Conférence des Grandes Ecoles des Pays de la Loire

Created in 2003, the Conférence des Grandes Ecoles des Pays de la Loire (CGE PdL – Conference of undergraduate and graduate schools of the Pays de la Loire Region) is an association uniting 19 Grandes Ecoles of the Region, located in Nantes, Angers, Laval and Le Mans.
In liaison with the national Conférence des Grandes Ecoles, CGE-PdL provides a venue for permanent dialogue and partnerships between our schools.

VEGEPOLYS – Pôle de compétitivité

Established in the Pays de la Loire, VEGEPOLYS is a global competitiveness cluster that benefits from the unique concentration in Europe of companies, research centres and training in the field of plants. Its objective is to become the world reference cluster on the production (creation and cultivation practices) of specialised plants that respect the environment and health.

RFI – Objectif végétal

“Objectif Végétal” brings together all the players in the plant sector in the Pays de la Loire and sets out a collective road map to turn the Region, within five years, into an international excellence cluster for training, research and innovation on specialised plants.

CNEAP – Conseil Régional de l’Enseignement Agricole Privé

A network of 23 private agricultural education establishments In the Pays de la Loire region located on 35 sites.

RenaSup

The National Private Higher Education Network has 55,000 students enrolled in 515 institutions, including 359 establishments preparing the BTS qualifications of the National Education system, 73 establishments preparing the BTS qualifications of the Ministry of Agriculture and 70 offering preparatory classes for the Grandes Ecoles. It is part of the catholic education system in the Pays de la Loire region.

Agricultural Education

Agricultural education is the second largest education system in France. It falls under the Ministry of Agriculture and includes the vocational secondary schools (the last five years of secondary school up to the scientific, technological and professional baccalaureates (secondary school diplomas)), short higher education programmes (from the BTS to the professional degree) and long higher education programmes (engineering, landscape and veterinary degrees, masters, doctorates and specialised masters).
Agricultural higher education is a network of 20 higher education establishments (including 7 private establishments under contract with the State), totalling more than 14,000 students in long higher education.

CNEAP – Conseil Régional de l’Enseignement Agricole Privé

CNEAP is a federation of agricultural teaching establishments falling under the Ministry of Agriculture. The federated establishments offer education and training during the last five years of secondary school and up to engineering school, which prepares students for the professions of agriculture, agri-food, agricultural production, livestock, processing, services, marketing, landscape and environment.

Conférence des Grandes Ecoles des Pays de la Loire

The Conférence des Grandes Ecoles is an association under the Act of 1901 of Grandes Ecoles in the area of higher education in engineering, management and high or multiple education, all recognised by the State and awarding a national diploma certifying at least 5 years of studies after the baccalaureate.

FESIC – Fédération d’Ecoles Supérieures et de Cadres

FESIC is an association of 27 undergraduate and graduate engineering and management schools. Set up 40 years ago, FESIC’s mission is to pool the experiences and practices of each school in order to develop their training and education, promote all the schools and represent them in their dealings with the public authorities.

Fésia – Fédération de 4 écoles d’Ingénieurs en Agriculture, Agroalimentaire et Environnement

FESIA (French network for Education and Research in Life Sciences) federates since 1984 four private higher education establishments under the supervision of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries. These establishments have 3,100 engineering students, destined to work in the food, agriculture and environment sectors.
