Summer School University of Angers : "Plant Science"

You will find attached the summer programs of the University of Angers in the field of health sciences and plant science. Each program includes conferences by international researchers, hands-on activities, visits of research facilities and biotech companies and a social program. Come and meet in Angers international students who share your passion for Science!



This program will provide the students with some insights into new developments in plant science research. The purpose is to give students the opportunity to be exposed to multidisciplinary approaches in the field of sustainable management of plant health and quality.

Workshops :

Visits of international research institutes

The program relies on interactive classes and hands-on ativities. Several workshops are organized, among them
  • "qPFD: an innovative device for screening and evaluating plant elicitors”
  • “In Silico design of plant pathogen identification tests
  • “Macroscopic and microscopic observations of medicinal plants”
  • “Genetic determinism of QTL”
  • “Rose phenotyping and genotyping”
  • “Transcriptomic data analysis”
  • “Analytical methods for assessing fruit quality”
  • "Biological data analysis : plant phenotyping"

The program is open to undergraduate students in the fields of agriculture, plant science and biological science who may be interested in pursuing Ph.D. programs and envision a career in plant science/agriculture.
