He is lecturer in Ecole Supérieure des Agricultures (Angers, France). Having a background in Soil Biology and Soil Ecology. He performed a PhD in Biodiversity and spatial distribution of earthworm fauna in a grassland in 1998. Initially he studied effect of earthworm bioturbation on soil characteristics, he has developed strong skills in statistics and data analysis.

His research focuses on the impact of agricultural practices on soil physical properties and soil fauna. He’s developing levabag an indicator for farmers to assess the capacity of an agricultural soil to degrade fresh organic matter. He teaches at master level courses mainly on statistics and data analysis.
