You must create an account on a application plateform or if you have already applied on previous years, create an application 2023-25 in your account. The application period will be open until 28 February 2023. The final result of the selection would come in April 2023. From February to April, you might be contacted if more info from your application is needed.

 

Erasmus Mundus Scholarships & its conditions

Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (EMJMD), is a prestigious, integrated, international study programme, jointly delivered by an international consortium of higher education institutions. The joint Erasmus Mundus Master in Local products and Traditional Food is part of the EMJMD catalogue of the EACEA agency of the European commission. The details of the project can be consulted on the EU website here. The scholarship programme is starting 16/09/2019 and ending 15/09/2025. The joint MSc programme Food ID started in september 2009 and is planned to continue beyond and after the EM scholarship programme.

 

PLEASE NOTE:

Applying for the Master in Local products and Traditional Food through the online application system does not automatically mean you will have applied to the scholarship Erasmus Mundus. You should ensure that you have correctly answered the following question i:

Your elilgibility as candidates from partner or programme countries depending on several factors like your nationality, your country of residence and the time you spent in Europe during the last 5 years. The complete rules of eligibility are available on the Erasmus Plus programme guide on the EACEA website. The scholarship calculation is composed of 1-participation costs, 2-travel and installation costs, 3-Subsistence costs. The total amount is depending on your eligibility on a category or the other (partner or programme countries).

Eligible countries are described here in 2 categories Programme and partner

  • Programme Country (EU/EU candidate/EEA and applicants who have lived in a Programme country for more than 12 months over the last 5 years)
  • Partner Country (all other applicants)

 

Your eligibility will be defined based on the information you put on application system and on your nationality, residency and 12 months rule tab (in EU during the last 5 years) to confirm your category. Complete the information the most accurate possible. If you want to understand the rules, a document with examples of calculation is available here. ‌‌EMJMD student scholarships can be offered to students from any region of the world – however no more than 2 from the same country or with the same nationality will be awarded in the same intake. The scholarships’ terms depend on the student’s country of origin/residence.

The EMJMD student scholarship includes:

  • a contribution to the student participation costs (including tuition fees, full insurance coverage and any other mandatory costs related to the students’ participation in the EMJMD study programme
  • a contribution to student travel and installation costs
  • a monthly subsistence allowance for the entire duration of the EMJMD study programme

 

Contribution to the participation costs Up to €4,500 per year per scholarship holder from a Programme CountryUp to €9,000 per year per scholarship holder from a Partner Country
Contribution to the travel and installation costs 1,000 EUR per year per scholarship holder resident of a Programme country

2,000 EUR per year for travel costs + 1,000 EUR for installation costs for a scholarship holder resident in a Partner country whose location is situated at less than 4,000 km from the EMJMD coordinating HEI

3,000 EUR per year for travel costs + 1,000 EUR for installation costs for a scholarship resident  in a Partner country whose location is situated at 4,000 km of more from the EMJMD coordinating HEI

Contribution to subsistence costs 1,000 EUR per month for the entire duration of the EMJMD study programme (24 months maximum)Contribution to subsistence costs will not  be given to scholarship holders for the periods of the EMJMD (study/research/placement/thesis preparation) spent in their country of residence

Contribution to subsistence costs will not  be given to Partner country scholarship holders for periods exceeding 3 months spent in any Partner country

Please note: The participation costs for both non-European and European scholarship students cover all tuition fees and health insurance; they do not include accommodation as well as other living expenses and travel.
