She is researcher/lecturer in ‘L’Ecole Supérieure des Agricultures’ (Angers, France). After studies to become agricultural engineer and oenologist, she performed a PhD focusing on systemic approaches to evaluate the link between the “terroir” factors (soil, sub-soil and winegrowers’ practices) and the sensory characteristics of wines. Since 2012, she develops multidisciplinary approaches to better study the typicity of wines and the impact of changing “terroir” factors within the framework of Geographical Indications. Her research interests include sensory analysis and soft computing, imperfect knowledge and data-based approach, fuzzy modeling, understanding of collective knowledges and action in winegrowing systems. She teaches at master level courses mainly on the managing of identity and sustainability of terroir driven wines.
