PROJECT “Accompaniment of the Beauce-Val de Loire region on its conversion to the High Environmental Value Label”

The High Environmental Value Label aims to value the productions, which are environmentally friendly in order to increase the number of French farms towards green practices. This project concerns mainly the cereals and vegetables outdoor production, which represents 60% of the agricultural surfaces in this region. Farmers are involved in this transition with the help of the research partners.

L’ESA, through its research units LARESS and USC GRAPPE, ESA-INRAE, is going to answer at 2 objectives:

  • Study the interest and the potential market of the products from farms having this label in asking questions to consumers and actors of collective catering
  • Study the costs generated by the implementation of this label and the distribution of the value in the total production chain.

Duration of the project: 2019 – 2022
