NANTES BUBBLES PROJECT

The Nantes Wine Federation is proposing to direct part of the production towards other outlets. The “Vin de Nantes effervescent” project consists of testing, on a pre-industrial scale, the conditions for producing an effervescent wine using the closed vat method with a very broad base of Melon B grape varieties, while working on the representations and acceptability of these wines by consumers.

In terms of deliverables, this project should therefore make it possible to validate a standard production process, which will serve as a support for the drafting by professionals in the Nantes wine industry of a set of specifications for the production of a basic sparkling wine. The project will also provide information on the positioning and acceptability of the concept, which can be used by the FVN’s communication committee.
