He is head of the International Affairs department at École Supérieure des Agricultures (Angers, France). Having a background in agronomy and animal science, he completed a PhD in butter quality affected by grazing and grass forages. He got his HDR (to Research) in 2022. In his research, he is studying the effects of the floral diversity of grasslands (plot and forage system scales) on the quality of milk and meat products, on animal health and welfare, and more generally on the ecosystem services provided by grasslands. By involving farmers and their advisors, he’s carrying out transdisciplinary research aiming at co-designing tools for managing forage systems that enable the grasslands to be maintained and developped as part of the ecological transition of livestock farms. He teaches at master’s level the management of forage systems and grasslands, and the quality of animal products.
