main objectives

This module on NOPA Agricultural Standards, Organizations and Policies is an interdisciplinary module which applies law (public, institutional and rural), political and social sciences (construction and organisation of social spaces, particularly rural) and economic sciences (market and production regulation instruments),Concerning rural law, the objective consists of introducing the founding principles and origins of rural law in its various dimensions: Farming, its relationships with its territory and the value chain. ,The section dedicated to the political field aims to understand how this relatively separate social space is structured and operates, thereby providing keys to a sociological reading of the political environment (in which agriculture evolves).,The section devoted to the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) aims to provide the main factual elements (historical background) concerning the various reforms and changes to the CAP, to give an understanding of the various economic mechanisms underlying the functioning of the CAP according to the different objectives and to analyze their impacts on value chains, territories/regions and farms. An overview of the CAP reforms in light of the WTO negotiations is given.,,
