SIGWALT Annie

Annie SIGWALT has been a lecturer-researcher at LARESS since 1998. Graduated both in agriculture and sociology, her research focuses on the dynamics of changes in farmers’ practices related to environmental issues: how do farmers integrate, through their discussions within dialogue networks, new challenges linked to the preservation of natural resources (water, soil, biodiversity, etc.)? How are they sometimes at the initiative of valorization projects of their production with this ecological dimension? What relationships do farmers have with their technical advisors, and more generally with rural stakeholders? Her involvement in various research programs leads her to work frequently with researchers from biotechnology (ecology, viticulture) and human sciences.
