He is Researcher in Ecole supérieure des Agricultures-Angers (ESA) since 1999. He has developed the sensory activity of the GRAPPE Laboratory, which is based on both a Research and a Consulting component. His research focuses on the development and adaptation of sensory methodologies adapted for the description and appreciation of food products, especially from the plant sector (Fruits and Vegetables, Wine, Cider, etc.). He is particularly interested in the exploitation of consumer comments during hedonic tests but also in the consideration of product particularities (variability, seasonality…) in methodological development. He is involved in several projects focused on ornemental plants. In addition, he has developed expertise in focus group animation and other participatory approaches..
