Scale 2 : Production line, supervision and management

main objectives

The objective of this course is to study the implementation of digital technology in a production line. This implementation must be used to control this line and must consider not only technical but also human aspects.

general content

UE2-1: Transcribe a formal description of the production process line. Take into account the aggregation of the different unit of the production line parts according to the needs and final product and determine the data to be acquired for such purpose.,UE2-2: Be able to understand the hierarchy between the different software and their uses with real case studies.,EU2-3: Put into practice the knowledge acquired to acquire data and create a database useful for all the operators during laboratory works at pilot plant level.,UE2-4: Know how to accompany digital innovation through the understanding of changes in market models, the implementation of participative strategies, team management,

pedagogy

UE is divided in 4 sub-units. In UE 2-1, there is a mix of lessons and practical work as well as small individual projects. In UE 2-2, we started with an introduction lesson followed by practical studies on real cases in the use of Manufacturing Execution System (MES). The sub unit will be conduct with other students from DA IDIPA. For UE 2-3, there is laboratory work in a pilot plant in Laval with students from DA IDIPA. For the last subunit UE 2-4 we have a mix of lessons and visit to companies.

evaluation

Evaluation is through the presentation of an individual work document (3 ECTS) where students must mobilize their knowledge, acquired during the different subunits. The document and their choices will then be defended orally before a jury (2 ECTS). For the UE 2-3, which corresponds to the TP in the pilot plant, we request a poster (1 ECTS) made by the group and there will be an individual evaluation on the implication and behaviour in the TP (1 ECTS).

Different sources will be provided during the different educational subunits.
