Scale 3: Factory supervision and data analysis

main objectives

In this educational unit we are at production workshop, or factory, level. The aim is to understand the challenges of implementing digital technology, to supervise and use the data collected.

general content

EU3-1: Understand the functionality of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. Understand the interest and implication of Overall Equipment Effectiveness indicator (OEE in English and TRS in French) in order to optimise production management and preventive failure detection in the production line.,UE3-2: Acquire sufficient knowledge on classification methods to be able to conduct data analyses with classification algorithm and data mining.,EU3-3: Study the links between the use of digital data and consumer behaviour with good product traceability,UE3-4: Understand the challenges of cybersecurity in agri-food companies,

pedagogy

The EU is subdivided into 4 sub-unit. For UE 3-1, we have a lesson followed by a serious game with the use of an ERP software. For UE3-2 and UE3-3 we have lessons and practical works. UE3-4 is organize as a seminar on the issue of cybersecurity.

evaluation

The UE 3-1 is evaluated through a document and ‘the serious game’ which give a collective mark (2 ECTS) and an individual mark (1 ECTS). The UE 3-2 is evaluated through an individual written work (2 ECTS) and the UE 3-3 through an oral report (2 ECTS) done at the end of the lesson.
