Viticulture and oenology
French viticulture occupies a major place at the international level and shares, depending on the year, the place of leading world producer. Thousands of vineyards in the area, although characterised by a variety of situations, are grouped together around the development of a sustainable viticulture. The goal: to reduce the use of inputs by giving preference to alternative solutions.
At ESA, the GRAPPE research unit’s work focuses on the quality of the wine. The challenge is therefore to reconcile environmental quality with the quality of the product.
