Annie Sigwalt has been a lecturer-researcher at ESA, School of Higher Education in Agriculture since 1998. She’s part of the social sciences laboratory named LARESS. Graduated both in agriculture and sociology, her research focuses on the dynamics of changes in farmers’ practices related to environmental issues: how do farmers integrate, through their discussions within dialogue networks, new challenges linked to the preservation of natural resources (water, soil, biodiversity, etc.)? How are they sometimes at the initiative of projects with this ecological dimension? What relationships do farmers have with their technical staff, and more generally with rural stakeholders? Her involvement in various research programs led her to frequently work with researchers from biotechnology, ecology or and human sciences.
