STUDENT MOBILITY
For the full-time programme, there is the option to spend six months on a study placement (eligible for an Erasmus grant) at a partner university in the Netherlands or Germany during the first semester (places are limited). There, you will improve your English and discover an innovative agricultural model, as well as different teaching methods and a different culture.
1st semester : International study placement
2nd semester : International Trade in Wines and Terroirs, 8-week work placement in a company in France or abroad.

FULL-TIME PROGRAMME
- Mastering professional communication skills – 60 hours: general and business English, communication, professional written and oral expression, analysis of professions and skills
- Knowing how to use reference tools for work – 45 hours: analysis and problem-solving methodology, creativity and innovation, methods of analysis and data processing, project management and resource optimisation, IT and office automation
- Understanding how a business operates – 55 hours: business policies and operational functions, economic monitoring, the administrative and regulatory environment of the business, quality, sector studies (wine, spirits, beer)
- Viticulture and oenology – 110 hours
- Viticulture: the vine cycle, cultivation methods, cultivation techniques
- Oenology: grape-to-wine processing, the physico-chemical characteristics of wine, sensory analysis, wine tasting and commentary, coherence between the target market, winemaking and terroir
- Terroirs, characterisation tools: the link between terroir and typicity, methods and tools for commercial promotion, wine-growing terroirs of the world
- Mastering wine marketing and trade – 130 hours: the national and international wine market, consumer insights, market research. Strategic and operational wine marketing, specific characteristics of terroir wines versus branded wines. Distribution and customer relations: choosing a distribution method, commercial negotiation, customer service. Basic techniques of international trade: import/export techniques, financing, logistics, Incoterms, customs.
- Supervised project – 140 hours: the supervised project is a study conducted individually or in a group, addressing a problem posed by a company in the wine industry.
In the second semester, you can choose between two 40-hour options: “International Wine Business” or “Digital Marketing and Communication”.

The internship takes place over one or more periods, totalling 12 to 16 weeks, within the same company or across two different companies. Internships may also be completed abroad.

- Mastering Wine Marketing and Trade – 130 hours: the national and international wine market, consumer insights, market research. Strategic and operational wine marketing, the specific characteristics of terroir-based wines versus branded wines. Distribution and customer relations: choosing a distribution channel, commercial negotiation, customer service. Basic techniques of international trade: import/export techniques, financing, logistics, Incoterms, customs.
- Supervised project – 140 hours: the supervised project is a study, conducted individually or in a group, on a problem posed by a company in the wine industry.
On the Professional Bachelor’s Degree programme, the work-study component can be undertaken under an apprenticeship contract.
On average, this involves 32 weeks in a company, including one long 9-week block in the spring, 21 weeks of classes and 5 weeks of paid leave.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
The Professional Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and International Trade of Wine and Terroirs (whose official title is ‘Métiers du Commerce International) is awarded by the University of Angers.
Requirements for obtaining the degree or qualification:
- To obtain the professional bachelor’s degree, students must achieve an overall average of 10 or above.
- Successful completion of the year results in the award of 60 ECTS credits.
- No minimum grade is required.

- A qualification certifying the award of 120 ECTS credits in the relevant professional field
Work-study programme for the Professional Bachelor’s Degree in International Business and Marketing of Wines and Terroirs
- Apprenticeship contract: you must be aged between 16 and 30
- Vocational training contract: you must be aged between 16 and 25, or be a jobseeker aged 26
Hold :

For a professional training contract, please contact the company’s OPCO.
If the cost of the training exceeds the level of funding provided by the OPCO, the company will be required to pay the remaining balance (remaining balance = Cost of training – Level of funding provided by the OPCO) (see link above)

Bank Loans
- A student loan of up to €15,000 is guaranteed by the French government, with no income requirements.
